This is my Ph.D. thesis dissertation for the University of Bergen named "Cognitive Control in Auditory Processing". The dissertation details the research process behind my project with developing the "primed dichotic listening" task. The dissertation contains three papers, one published in Neuropsychologia, one published in Neuropsychology, and one that was later published in Brain and Cognition. The additional dissertation text covers a more extensive theoretical background (on attention, priming and dichotic listening), methodological details and implications.
